I saw this post syndicated on Planet Fedora (lots of great people on there!) and I couldn't help agreeing with this person and coming away feeling quite annoyed.
I have been noticing people wrongly attributing Ubuntu for upstream efforts for years and I think that this is because they carried accross the habbit of attributing certain features solely to a particular product as is common in the closed source world. "Windows is the most efficient at crashing! No other OS comes close!" is True because it is wholly Microsoft's product but "Ubuntu has great programs" = false, because nearly all the programs are *not* written by the Ubuntu project.
It annoys me that some idiot decided to publish his stupidity in a very public manner. No doubt many people would not realise the total inaccuracy of his article and take it at face-value.
