This Site
DDevnet.net was started on August 18 2007 though no serious work was done on it until approximately the 23rd of September when a usable interface was implemented.
The reason this website was made does not have any definitive answer but the general goal of the site is to exercise coding skills and to document and host projects which can be viewed by interested persons.
Danial Devine
I was born in April 1991 and around 2002 (but certainly not prior to that!) I developed an interest in computers. For about 13 months I played Age of Empires in MSN Zone which was all my computer at that time could handle with its 200MHz Intel processor and 128MB EDO RAM until I built a better computer from parts on ebay which launched me into bigger and better things.
Gaming was the hook for my interest in computers and it led to my tweaking of hardware and software and asking questions of the finer and more technical points which has got me to my current status.
I was not the best gamer, so I turned to playing around with other things such as music and Linux/F/OSS. It took a while to fully migrate to Linux but the acceleration in Linux and OSS development in the past few years has helped alot. I believe that it is now what people call "Desktop Ready".
proprietary software to me seems a ridiculous idea but I am not saying that there is anything wrong from making money from software.
It doesn't seem moral or practical to overprice software and to close the source. Why hinder your user base by making it so overpriced? Why inhibit your development and flexibility by closing source?
I will stop the rant here...
